Thousand shades of blue between us
2019
ITA - Questo progetto mira a descrivere il paesaggio urbano e la vita quotidiana che scorre ai lati di una lunga e profonda "striscia blu": il fiume Chao Phraya. Ho considerato il Chao Phraya (oltre che come una sorta di filo narrativo) come una vera e propria metafora della vita, conseguente causa di infinite interazioni sociali e soprattutto ambientali permettendo la ricca biodiversità di flora e fauna autoctona. Questo "fluido passaggio" collega persone che vivono dai luoghi più disparati della metropoli a quelli che costituiscono il "micromondo" costruito sulle sue rive.
Dalla natura quasi incontaminata di Bang Kachao alla magnificenza degli antichi templi di Wat Pho, un viaggio alla scoperta delle bellezze nascoste ai lati di questa arteria blu di Bangkok.
ENG - This project aims at describing the urban landscape and the everyday life flowing on the sides of a long and deep stripe of blue, the Chao Phraya river, that divides Bangkok in two halves. In this landscape research project, the Chao Phraya has been considered as a sort of narrative thread, a metaphor of life, giving life to interactions and allowing biodiversity to develop. This fluid connects people living all around and populates the microworld built on its shores. From the almost completely unspoiled nature of Bang Kachao to the magnificence of the ancient temples of Wat Pho, it takes along on a journey at the discovery of the other beauties hidden on the sides of this blue artery of Bangkok.
