The city of Bangkok is undergoing a grand process of expansion and development, confirming itself more and more as one of the most important and powerful economic realities in East Asia. In fact, the intent of this research lies in highlighting the inevitable infrastructural stratification formed during this not-yet-completed metamorphosis, referred to in the jargon as "Singaporization": just as with Singapore, the Thai metropolis has been facing, for several decades now, a change in its urban and social fabric by altering its appearance and conformation in a completely irreversible way, circumscribing in an extremely marginal way that rural identity that has always distinguished it and fascinated the Western world.
